I practice as an Arbitrator and Construction Adjudicator, based at Bankside Chambers in Auckland.

I have 43 years’ practice experience as a litigation partner in a major law firm, barrister, Tribunal Chair, mediator, arbitrator, amicus curiae, counsel assisting, adjudicator and teacher.

I provide effective and timely determination of disputes using agreed procedures that are proportionate to the issues that need to be decided.

The Aotearoa New Zealand Arbitration Surveys

The Second Aotearoa New Zealand Arbitration Survey was released in 2025. Dr Anna Kirk and I intend this document, and the Inaugural Aotearoa New Zealand Arbitration Survey, to be a resource that will encourage and enhance the practice of arbitration in New Zealand.

Both surveys were completed in collaboration with Wellington-based Junior Barrister Diana Qiu, and the support of the New Zealand Dispute Resolution Centre.
